Wollongong First Birthday Photoshoot | Lachlan
It was a heatwave day, in the middle summer. It’s best time of year to celebrate turning one! We celebrated Lachlan’s first birthday with an outdoor first birthday photoshoot in Wollongong. The outdoor, natural location included plenty of lush greenery and a gorgeous tree feature in the background. A custom album was the perfect choice to tell the story of his birthday celebrations and will become a very special keepsake for him (and his parents!) as he grows older.

A first birthday photoshoot with Scribbly Gum Photography includes a few components. We start with the first birthday portraits, with the ONE letters and for Lachlan, little suspenders and shorts. He plays, explores and enjoys the leaves, sticks (and the ONE letters!).
Following that, he was SO excited to see his favourite feast of summer berries, ready for him to devour. From raspberries on his finger, to a face full of mango, he didn’t hold back. Finally, he enjoyed laughing and splashing in the outdoor bubble bath.
On the day of Lachlan’s photoshoot, the humidity was at an all time high and while we were hot, Lachlan’s parents and I were rejoicing! His gorgeous, red tinted curls were extra curly and extra bouncy!
