Let’s celebrate reaching your baby’s first birthday milestone with a photoshoot!
We’ll set-up a feast of your baby’s favourite foods, an opportunity for play, and then a warm bubble bath, to celebrate your baby’s personality and sense of adventure.
My first birthday photoshoots are natural, playful and minimalistic. Your one-year-old is the star of the show, and we’ll create a fun experience for them full of giggles and good times.

Outdoor settings are best for this kind of photoshoot, and I’m happy to travel to a location to suit you, or to suggest one of the many amazing locations we have here in the Illawarra and surrounding areas.
Why outdoors?
Babies love to explore and to play with sticks and leaves, and being in an interesting outdoor environment can counteract any nerves they might have about being around a big person they don’t know too well.
Your photoshoot includes complimentary use of props and outfits.
If you’re worried about getting your baby to sit still, don’t be!
I encourage your baby to move around and play, so that they can enjoy the experience at their own pace and on their own terms.
As with all of my portrait photography, the style for the session is completely customisable. To make life easy, I have a selection of first-birthday outfits for complimentary hire. Even more special is the beautiful, custom built wooden aeroplane I have available, which is something your little one can sit and play in. Fun times guaranteed!
After the photoshoot, we’ll organise a viewing appointment so you can select your favourite images from the day, and options for printing, and then I’ll deliver your final prints ready to be showcased in your home or shared with loved ones.

Help with planning out the details: where, when etc! Props including the very popular duck, bath, plane and wardrobe options are all included. Food is not included due to insurance purposes, we can chat about what you would like to bring along.
Your photoshoot is yours to personalise! If you would like to include a giant teddy, or a big sister/ brother, or something else, I’m more than happy to include them!
My approach is to choose something that your little one is familiar with, and loves! This way, they will have a greater chance to dig in and enjoy their feast. If you would like to include a cake instead, that is perfectly ok!
I have a client wardrobe that includes first birthday outfits! Once you’ve booked in I’ll send you a link to show what the options are and they are a complimentary add-on. If you prefer something else, you will also receive complimentary access to my What to Wear Ebook, which will have some store ideas for you to have a look at.
As a mum of 3, I get it! Teething is awful. Pain relief is your decision to make, and I will work hard to make sure they have a fun time and that they don’t need to sit still for long. The way the photoshoots are set up, things move along pretty quickly, this helps to avoid any boredom and often sore teeth are forgotten about for little time!
